Kidzeum's 5th Birthday Party Celebration
We are celebrating our 5th birthday this year and YOU'RE INVITED!
Saturday, July 22, admission is FREE - sponsored by Melvin D. Wing Charitable Trust. Enjoy games, activities, crafts and a live demonstration led by Hip Hop M.D. himself, Maynard Okereke, who was featured on Netflix's hit series Ada Twist, Scientist.
An award-winning science communicator, Maynard Okereke earned a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. Noticing a lack of minority involvement in the S.T.E.M. fields, he created Hip Hop Science with the goal of encouraging minorities and youth to pursue more advanced career paths. His background in engineering, acting, business, and credible work within the music industry as an artist, make him uniquely qualified to engage on a wide variety of topics from an entertaining perspective. Maynard will lead four 1-hour long activity sessions that can allow up to 38 participants at a time. These sessions will be free but will require advanced registration the day-of. Tickets are limited and visitors are recommended to claim theirs when they arrive. The times for the sessions are:
- Session 1: 9:45 - 10:45 AM
- Session 2: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Session 3: 1:00 - 2:00 PM
- Session 4: 2:15 - 3:15 PM
