Support Kidzeum by Drinking Prairie Farms Milk
Kidzeum of Health and Science is now part of the Prairie Farms Our Caps Your Cause program and is looking for your support. For every cap entered, Kidzeum receives 5 cents to go towards their program.
On Prairie Farms white or flavored milk in gallon or half-gallon sizes, there are stickers located on the caps. Reveal a unique, redeemable code by peeling of the Prairie Farms sticker and enter it at http://www.prairiefarms.com/our-caps-your-cause.aspx. When prompted with the choice of which organization to give to, please choose Kidzeum.
After 1,000 caps are entered, Prairie Farms Dairy will send a check to Kidzeum. Prairie Farms will give up to $50,000. “Drinking milk is such a smart way for kids to have healthy bones. Participating in Our Caps Your Cause not only encourages kids to help themselves be healthy but allows them to give back to Kidzeum and get us closer to opening our doors for hundreds of thousands of kids to enjoy and learn about their bodies, their community and their environment, ” Rachael Thomson, Board President of Kidzeum of Health and Science said.
“Prairie Farms farm families and employees take a lot of pride in giving back to the communities we are a part of,” Michelle Fluty, program coordinator at Prairie Farms, said. With today’s economy, local non-profit organizations have a greater need for support in order to continue their mission. Our Caps Your Cause is a simple way for families to support their favorite organization along with a local business, Fluty added.
Over 700 farms strong, Prairie Farms has been providing the freshest, highest quality dairy products for 75 years. Prairie Farms network of local manufacturing plants and branch offices enables highly efficient, dairy fresh distribution throughout the Midwest and the South.

"If I only had a brain," said the Scarecrow from Wizard of Oz. Kidzeum of Health and Science has been without a brain too. Thanks to a $50,000 donation from the doctors of Springfield Clinic's Neurology and Neurological Surgery Departments, an interactive brain will be one of the 100 engagements that exist within the Healthy Body Gallery.
"The Healthy Body Gallery at Kidzeum will be a fun and interactive way for kids to learn about their bodies," said Dr. David Gelber, specialist in neurology at Springfield Clinic. "We're especially excited to sponsor the brain exhibit so they can understand the importance of the central nervous system and ways to maintain its health."
The Interactive Brain Exhibit will be located within the 40-foot tall, 3-story child that makes up the Healthy Body Gallery. A spine climb will allow visitors to climb inside the exhibit to experience how the brain works, and how to keep it healthy through proper nutrition, sleep and safety measures.
"Kidzeum is extremely grateful to Springfield Clinic and the doctors of its Neurology and Neurological Surgery Departments for supporting the Interactive Brain. Increasing a child's knowledge of how the brain functions combined with an opportunity to climb and exercise in a safe environment is an exciting prospect to parents and their children," said Kidzeum Board President, Rachael Thomson.
Springfield Clinic's team of experienced neurologists, surgeons and their staff provide care to patients with problems involving the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves.
